The itch
I spent eight years building systems where failure was not an option — automotive SoCs at Qualcomm, rail monitoring at Alstom. That work taught me a habit I couldn't switch off: whenever I saw people struggling through a complex, multi-step process, I saw a system with missing safety mechanisms.
The processes that frustrated me most weren't in vehicles. They were in everyday life: applications, filings, financial planning. Long checklists, hard deadlines, and no traceability when something went wrong.
What safety-critical work taught me
ISO 26262 sounds like paperwork until you internalize what it actually asks: know what can fail, know how you'd detect it, and be able to prove both. Applied honestly, it's a design philosophy, not a compliance exercise.
When LLMs arrived, most tooling went the opposite way — impressive output, invisible reasoning. That gap is exactly where a safety engineer's instincts become a product thesis.
The Verified-Record Method
In May 2026 I began representing myself in my civil matters. I learned the courts the way I learn any system: read everything, document everything, verify every line. Every filing dated, every fact traceable to a record.
That discipline became the Verified-Record Method, and elements of it now ship inside PerunTeCH's AI Engineering product — audit trails and traceability for AI-written work.
What PerunTeCH builds
PERUNTECH LLC (Seattle, 2025) and PerunTeCH Systems (Tamil Nadu, 2026) build AI-driven systems and assistant-style workflows for complex, multi-step tasks. Structured, typed data models instead of unbounded notes. Step-by-step flows with clear confirmations. LLMs used for judgement, drafting, and summarization — not hidden magic.
Users can always see what the system knows and why. That's the whole product philosophy in one sentence.
What's next
Most of the work is still prototypes and internal tooling. My long-term motivation is building a better future for my son — and if you're navigating something complex alone, start where I started: write everything down, with dates and times.
